It's an Japanese ancient healing art of relaxation that promotes healing and works on an energy level. Just like a radio has the ability to pick up radio waves simply by switching it on, it is just a question of tuning the body into picking up the energy. The latter flows within the physical body through pathways called chakras and meridians, it also flows around us as the aura.

word "healing" has a somewhat different meaning from the widely
accepted meaning. "Healing" seems to be curing of symptoms, for that
seems to be what medical doctors do in their practice. The other
meaning for "healing" used in the practice of ENERGY HEALING, is the return to
greater "wholeness" an ideal form each of us has. This ideal form being
the highest and clearest expression of WHO WE REALLY ARE.
The unity of the body, mind and soul is just like a violin.
The violin, too, consists of separate parts: body, sides, neck and bow.
But the violin ONLY makes a sound when "whole".
